DESCRIPTION:OFFICIAL BOXING DAY DIP\nORGANISED BY RED SKY FOUNDATION & SUNDERLAND LIONS CLUB\nThursday 26 December 2024\, 10:00 \nSTACK SEABURN\, SUNDERLAND \nRegister for the Boxing Day Dip by clicking here!\nIt’s time to get ready to wet your feet and join us on Thursday 26 December 2024 at Seaburn Beach for a refreshing dip in the North Sea. \nTake the plunge\, raise money for your favourite charity and splash around in the cold North Sea to become a brave Seaburn dipper! \nJoin hundreds of people and enjoy a refreshing dip on Boxing Day morning.  After all\, what better way to cure your late festive blues than participating in this family-friendly outdoor charity event?! \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION\n\nTo enter the Dip you must be the age of 12 or over\, children under 12 are welcome to join in with an accompanying adult.\nIt is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit enough to participate.\nNon dippers are not allowed in the changing area.\nPlease make sure you are on time.\nIt is essential that all participants follow the instructions given by the Stewards during the procession and upon entry to the sea. Please take care when approaching the beach via the steps.\nThe North Sea can be extremely cold at this time of year. Do not remain in the water too long.\nWe suggest bringing an old pair of trainers to wear on the road\, across to the beach and into the sea.\nMake sure you bring plenty of warm clothing to change into after the Dip. A good breakfast will help to maintain your inner warmth.\nMost dippers come in fancy dress\, why not join in?\n\nN.B: Changes to the registration process requires each entrant to pay a registration fee of £10 which will be shared between Sunderland Lions Club & Red Sky Foundation to fund various good causes throughout the year. \nEach dipper will receive their own exclusive fundraising link should they wish to raise money for the Sunderland Lions & Red Sky Foundation.  However\, if a dipper wishes to support an another charity then it is perfectly fine to do so separately. Therefore\, all funds raised by dippers will be payable direct to their nominated charity/organisation.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for some festive fun at The Bridges Shopping Centre on Sunday\, 1 December\, for a unique 1K* indoor family fun run to raise valuable funds for Red Sky Foundation. \nThe Reindeer Dash is a great opportunity to raise funds for others in our community who are less fortunate this Christmas. \nChildren’s entry (12 and under) to the event costs £7 which includes reindeer nose and antlers\, plus a fantastic reindeer medal and free entry to The Bridges Santa’s Grotto from 11am! \nAnd for all you adults young at heart… you can join the fun too. Enter the run for £8.50 and receive your own reindeer nose and antlers\, whilst knowing your donation will help us raise as much money as possible for charity. \n(Any child 5 or under must be accompanied by a paying adult on the course) \nSo what are you waiting for? DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT\nRED SKY FOUNDATION’S FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA AT ASHBROOKE SPORTS CLUB!\nTuesday 5th November 2024 \nAshbrooke Sports Club\, Sunderland \nGet your tickets for the Red Sky Foundation’s Fireworks Extravaganza by clicking here!\n🎆 SUNDERLAND‘S BIGGEST FIREWORKS EVENT IS BACK ON BONFIRE NIGHT! 🎆 \nJoin Red Sky Foundation for a spectacular display at Ashbrooke Sports Club on Tuesday 5th November raising vital funds to support cardiac care to help little hearts and their families. \n🎡 Funfair rides\n🎶 Live entertainment & DJ Sets\n🤤 Streetfood vendors\n🎇 And of course a HUGE firework display at 8.15pm! \nThere are 2 types of tickets to choose from:\n🎟️General Admission ticket holders get access to the full outdoor area where you’ll find the fairground rides\, food and drink vendors\, watch the entertainment and of course see the breathtaking fireworks display.\n🎟️VIP ticket holders get exclusive use of Ashbrooke Sports Clubhouse. They’’ll receive a free drink\, hot buffet to tuck into\, access to all other indoor facilities & outdoor area. They can use the bar as a hub to enjoy the fairground and the Red Sky Foundation entertainment outside on the field\, or hibernate indoors if the weather isn’t what you’d hoped for. \nChildren under the age of 2 can come free with any Adult ticket.\nUnder 16s must be accompanied by an Adult. \nFAQs: \nWhat time does the event start?\nEvent opens at 4pm and the fireworks will start at approximately 8.15pm. There is funfair rides\, live music\, DJ sets and other entertainment throughout the evening. The event closes at 9.30pm. \nWill there be food available?\nYes\, there will be a variety of streetfood vendors selling delicious hot food.\nThe VIP ticket includes a hot buffet to enjoy. \nIs there a bar?\nYes\, there will be alcohol for sale. There will be pop up bars outside.\nThis is a family event\, so any signs of anti-social behaviour due to alcohol consumption will result in removal.\nYou are not allowed to bring in your own alcohol. If found\, you will be removed from event. \nCan I bring my own fireworks?\nNo\, under no circumstance are you allowed to bring your own fireworks. Leave it to the professionals!\nIf you are found trying to bring your own fireworks or are caught with them in the event\, you will be removed immediately. \nIs car parking available?\nWe highly recommend that public transport\, car sharing or normal city centre parking is used as this event will be extremely busy.\nWe have partnered with St Aiden’s Catholic Academy which will be opening up its gates to use as a car park for the evening. SUMMARY:The Great North Run – Sunday 8th September 2024
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the most famous half marathon in the UK. \nStarting in Newcastle\, you will cross the Tyne Bridge as the Red Arrows fly over\, before making your way through Gateshead down to the coast and the finish line at South Shields\, cheered on all the way by the thousands of spectators who will encourage you to the end of the 13.1 miles. \nGet involved \nRegistration fee is £59 per person; enter individually or as part of a team with family\, friends or work colleagues. Each runner will receive a running vest\, fundraising pack and once you have made it across the finish line we will be in the charity village to welcome you with refreshments. \nFundraising target \nWe are asking our runners to raise as much as they can to help raise funds for Red Sky Foundation. MINIS AGED 3-8 TAKE ON A DARING 1.2KM DASH\, WHILE JUNIORS AGED 9-16 TACKLE A 4KM SUPERCHARGED SPRINT. THERE’S NOTHING QUITE LIKE THE AMAZING SIGHT OF THOUSANDS OF HAPPY\, SMILING\, ACTIVE KIDS TAKING PART FOR FUN\, FOR CHARITY\, FOR A CHALLENGE AND EARNING A VERY SPECIAL MEDAL FOR THEIR EFFORTS.
