OUR MISSION
Red Sky Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of people needing cardiac care who are born with or develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families.
We do this by providing a range of services to relieve sickness and preserve the health of individuals in the UK. We assist with the provision of grants, equipment and awareness to support the world class Children’s Heart Unit at The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle as well as other cardiac hospital units around the UK; and support other regional health services within the NHS and other charitable organisations.
We provide life-saving defibrillators for local schools and public spaces, working with local education and council representatives. We collaborate with third party organisations to offer a range of training and education from defibrillator use and CPR performance, through to advanced support for babies, children and adults with heart problems and their families.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to help little hearts and their families by providing much needed support through our fundraising work. We strive to raise awareness of heart health and enable our supporters and contributors to spread the word, making a positive impact across our local communities, schools and city centres.

WHERE THE MONEY GOES
We raise vital funds for large and small pieces of equipment, facilities and aftercare for the Children’s Heart Unit and other district hospitals providing coronary care. However, we go far beyond funding cardiac machines and nursing care; we make a positive impact across our local communities, our schools and our city centres with our inclusive defibrillator programme making the UK a safer place to enjoy.
We work closely with local schools and education facilities to encourage them to have defibrillators on site to protect children, staff and the general public.
