Fundraise for Us
FUNDRAISE FOR US

Fancy fundraising to help raise vital funds to help save babies, children and adults with complex heart conditions?

There’s so many different ways you can make an impact by fundraising for us. With the money raised, you’ll be funding state-of-the-art machinery to help transport hearts from all over the world for people who need one, fitting hundreds of life-saving defibrillators in communities around the North East, providing free counselling to those affected by heart disease and so much more!

So let’s start saving lives together and join #TeamRedSky by taking part in some fantastic fundraising initiatives!

FUNDRAISING IDEAS

You can do anything to fundraise!
We want you to have fun while you raise money for us. So do whatever will make you and others smile.

Need some inspiration to get started on your fundraising journey?
Here’s a few ideas:

Afternoon tea
Get together with friends and host an afternoon tea party! You could host it at work, home or a venue, it doesn’t matter as long as you’re enjoying scones, cups of tea or even a few glasses of prosecco. You could even include a few games to enliven your event!

Auction
You might have a few items of some value that you think could do well at an auction, so why not host one in honour of Red Sky? Auctions are always a fun way to raise money with family, friends or colleagues.

Bake sale
Bake sales are a great fundraiser as most people can never resist the temptation of a baked good! We know we can’t…
If you’re a keen baker, it’ll go down a treat! If you’re not so good with a whisk, there’s no reason why you can’t simply pick up a Collin The Caterpillar from your local M&S to sell.

Bike ride
Pedal to the metal as part of an official cycling event or organise your own!
Most popular cycle challenges include the Coast to Coast and the Coast and Castles.

Birthday fundraiser
You can set up a fundraising page and ask your friends and family to donate to Red Sky Foundation instead of buying you a gift. At least you’ll avoid any unwanted presents from that Aunt you haven’t seen for 6 years…

Golf day
Organise a company golf event and have a fun day on the course with your colleagues. You could even throw in a raffle or auction at the event to amp up the fundraising!

Half marathon
Our biggest sporting event of the year is the Great North Run, so it would be silly of us not to suggest running a half marathon for Red Sky. It doesn’t just have to be the Great North Run, it can be any one in the world!

Sign up to our half marathon events here.

Marathon
If a half marathon just isn’t enough, then go for it and run a full length marathon for us!

Quiz night
Maybe you own a pub or want to host a work event, a quiz is a nice bit of friendly competition to get involved in! You could sell tickets and donate the proceeds to us or pass a collection bucket round to participants.
Make sure no one is Googling the answers!

Raffle
A raffle is a fantastic way to raise money. Ask local businesses to get involved and see if they would like to donate prizes to your raffle.

Run
We mentioned marathons and half marathons earlier, but a lot of us just aren’t cut out for that type of long distance running. Whether it’s a 3k, 5k, 10k or any distance at all, as long as you’re showing resilience and determination, you’ll be flying!

Sign up to running events here.

Sky dive
If you’re an adrenaline junky, why not throw yourself out of a plane 10,000ft in the air in the name of Red Sky? We would love to see you do it!

Sweepstake
Sweepstakes are a great office fundraiser. It could be sports related (big football tournaments) or you could get people to guess your finishing time if you’re taking part in a sports event.
