We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Event Manager to join our passionate team during a pivotal phase of growth. You’ll take the lead in planning and delivering a varied calendar of events – from high-impact flagship occasions to new, innovative initiatives aligned with our charitable objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our full events calendar
Deliver engaging and impactful flagship events
Work closely with the Head of Operations, CEO, and wider team to ensure alignment and collaboration
Bring fresh ideas and take ownership – from concept to delivery
Liaise with volunteers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
Ensure every event is safe, well-resourced, and aligned with our mission

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in delivering large-scale indoor and outdoor events, ideally with a fundraising or charitable focus
Excellent project management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with acute attention to detail
Confident working independently and as part of a close-knit team
Knowledge of events and fundraising regulations and best practices
Experience in a charity setting is a plus, but not essential
Bonus if you’ve managed social media around live events!

Job Description: Event Manager

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Responsible for: Volunteers and staff at events

Role Summary:

To manage and deliver a diverse programme of events that support our

organisational objectives, engage our key audiences, and drive fundraising and

awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Delivery

Lead the coordination and delivery of the full events calendar, which

includes our own events and participation at other events.

Deliver flagship and high-profile events to the highest standard.

Ensure all events are safe, compliant, and well-staffed.

Manage event logistics, budgeting, timelines, and post-event evaluation.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with internal stakeholders to align events with strategic goals.

Build strong relationships with volunteers, suppliers, venues, and sponsors.

Act as a key contact for event-related communications and planning.

Innovation & Improvement

Bring forward creative ideas to enhance and expand our events programme.

Continuously seek ways to improve processes, audience engagement, and impact.

Prepare business cases for new event opportunities and take ownership of their delivery.

Compliance & Best Practice

Stay up to date with industry trends, safety standards, and fundraising/event regulations.

Ensure risk assessments and contingency plans are in place.

Maintain accurate records and support reporting and evaluation processes.

Person Specification:

Essential:

Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end event delivery of indoor and outdoor events.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge of health & safety and compliance in events.

Ability to think creatively and commercially.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Must have full driving licence.

Desirable:

Experience working within a charity or nonprofit.

Familiarity with using social media around events.

Experience recruiting and managing volunteers at events.
