Thursday 16th October was an incredibly special day for The Red Sky Foundation as we met at Durham Constabulary HQ and donated 140 defibrillators. Durham police force are the second force in the country to have every single police response car equipped with a life saving defibrillator.
Earlier this year we donated 154 defibrillators to Northumbria police force and we have since heard stories about the lives they have already saved.
This project is valued at over £185,000 which is thanks to the incredible donations received by The Red Sky Foundation. We would like to thank every single person who has fundraised, volunteered and donated and made this donation possible. Together we really can save lives.
Durham police welcomed us with open arms and it was incredible to hear first hand how empowered the defibrillators make police officers feel when they attend a cardiac arrest incident.
We would like to say a big Thank you to Our Jay Foundation – https://www.ourjay.org.uk/ who we are working with to fight for defibrillators becoming mandatory in every police response car in the UK. Take a minute to follow their page and get behind the campaign.
