Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge 2026!

We welcome you to join the Red Sky Cycle Challenge 2026 raising vital funds to help little hearts and their families.

We have 30 rider places ready to set off from Whitehaven to Sunderland on a 220 kilometre cycle challenge encompassing some of the best scenery Britain has to offer through the Lake District, Penines and County Durham.

The price includes accommodation, evening meals, breakfasts and drinks and snacks throughout.

Its a fully supported trip with the aim to have fun, stretch those legs and to help us fix more hearts across the region.

Take on the stunning Coast to Coast Cyle Challenge from Whitehaven, across to Sunderland and help raise vital funds in aid of Red Sky Foundation.

THE FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE 

• Test yourself against this iconic British cycling challenge and support Red Sky Foundation 
• Aim to exceed your minimum fundraising target
• Starting from Whitehaven on Friday 12th June and finishing to a heroes welcome at Roker, Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.    
• Celebrate with an endof ride exclusive party and prize giving at “These Things Happen” Roker’s newest trendy venue.  
• Stunning route across the country 
• Experience the beauty of the scenery 
• Fully supported cycling challenge including Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

As places on this ride are limited we ask all riders to commit to raising £750 for Red Sky Foundation.

Be inspired by some of the most dramatic scenery the UK has to offer on this classic bike ride from West to East. Departing from Whitehaven’s seafont slipway, this challenging itinerary stretches for 220km until reaching the North Sea at Roker in Sunderland.  

You’ll need all your pedal power to tackle the long ride. The aches and pains will be long forgotten when you arrive in Sunderland for a celebratory soiree in true Red Sky tradition, whilst the memory of this remarkable journey will last for years to come.
